Stepping up into new responsibilities

This master class was for newly appointed Directors in a major national organisation and was based around themes in the book "Raise Your Game". The master class covered themes like using your strengths effectively converting your critics, handling self-doubt, making difficult decisions and using your time and energy well.

The outcomes were that individuals had a clearer understanding of what stepping up into bigger responsibilities meant for them. They had a sharper set of priorities, greater confidence in their own abilities and experience and were well prepared for dealing with difficult decisions ahead. They brought stronger confidence in dealing with demanding issues.

Seizing the future

This master class was for HR Directors in fast changing organisations and was based on the booklet "Seizing the Future". The workshop focused on the 5 key skills identified in the booklet as:

  • Accept new reality
  • Promote fresh thinking
  • Ensure effective engagement
  • Embrace radical approaches
  • Pace your energies

The outcome was that the HR Directors went away with greater clarity about their own personal approach and next steps, how they were going to lead their Department and how they were going to ensure that leaders across the organisation seized the future in an upbeat and assertive way coupled with realism, humility and the confidence to lead by example.
